The Great Happiness Space

Host Boys are a special breed of Japanese man.  Women pay upwards of $1,000 for a night of drinking, flirting and attention from these primped specimens in Host Clubs located in the most populated areas of Japan.  Their style is slick and sexy, with a touch of Rock n’ Roll. Oh no, it’s DNOkyo..

Four American dudes, plus another American dude, plus a Japanese dude, plus me, a non-dude spent two weeks in Tokyo, Kyoto and Osaka trying to stuff our long legs under tiny Japanese dining tables, hanging with a variety of creatures, experimenting with beauty treatments and of course, doing a bit of karaoke. I miss those dudes.

Visiting a pet cafe is everything good about having a pet without all the maintenance of owning a live animal. This specific cafe is a Rabbit Cafe where for approximately $10 you can get a strawberry latte and snuggle bunnies for 30 minutes.  Each Rabbit has a name and story, they’re clean and well taken care of and when you’re done, someone else cleans up the mess.

Once again, the Japanese got it right.
